Terms of use

The service

MemeCaptions is a free, template-based caption idea generator provided as-is. It suggests caption text; it does not guarantee any caption will be funny, original in every possible corpus, or suitable for your audience — you are the editor.

Your captions

Caption text you generate and edit is yours to use, including commercially. You are responsible for what you publish, including checking that a caption does not defame a real person or infringe someone else's text you may have pasted in.

Formats and names

Classic meme format names (such as Drake or This Is Fine) are used descriptively to identify caption structures. MemeCaptions hosts no meme images and claims no rights in the underlying formats or characters, which belong to their respective creators.

Acceptable use

Do not use MemeCaptions to generate captions intended to harass or target a private individual. Roast situations, not people.

Pro

Pro is a planned paid tier described on the pricing page. It is not currently sold; no payment terms apply because no payment is taken.
